Energy and Religion

Not to get excommunicated from Mother Church, or the family for that matter, but I was examining a novel idea. Examination. That is what we philosophers are good at, after all. So here it is. The majority of world religions are in some way interconnected in an inseparable framework. Heaven and Hell exist, as does reincarnation and nirvana. First, submit to the premise that neither energy nor mass may be created or destroyed. There is a finite source, call it God. A human being goes through life exerting his free will to do good or evil and contribute to the whole (death, whether by murder, war, or expiration date is still necessary). Our subject who commits to dastardly deeds is dropped on his ass into Hell, to atone for his sins (let us say, to expunge the negative energy and give the reincarnation a fresh start). Our good subject is elevated to a state of grace or oneness with the source (Heaven/Nirvana), a just reward. As previously stated, there is a finite amount of energy, God, of which we all make up a part. For argument's sake, let us say 100 billion souls worth of energy. Since the same component of energy and mass may not occupy the same space at any given time, let us say there is a rest period of say 3 generations between reincarnations. After the stated 3 generations, the soul tormenting in Hell has since atoned for sins and been returned to a state of neutrality. Likewise, the soul resting in grace is returned to a state of neutrality. (For every positive, there MUST be a negative, to maintain the balance of the universe - even matter exists solely because of antimatter.) Reincarnation occurs, matter is regenerated from the proteins we consume, and the now neutral energies, cleansed of the deeds of their former selves are birthed to live lives of free will, and atone for sins or reach a state of grace. An endless cycle because, as previously stated, neither energy nor mass may be either created or destroyed (note my choice of verbiage earlier).

And just for the sake of arguments, all soldiers attain grace for their courageous sacrifice to maintain the balance. (I think it's a fair reward.) The self-righteous are expunged as wasted energy.

Enough witticism for now. Hope you enjoyed the writing.
